We loved the step that Intel took when it launched Canterwood—the code name for its combination of the 875P chipset and new type of Pentium 4 processor set to work with an 800-MHz front-side bus (FSB). Working with dual-channel 400-MHz DDR SDRAM, Canterwood systems eliminate system bottlenecks, providing 6.4-GBps peak access between the north bridge of the chipset and system memory, as well as a 6.4-GBps pipe between the chipset and the CPU. | ||
