Glimpses inside the colossus of Redmond are offered by a new book published by ex-Microsoft employee Karin Carter, who assembled a collection of essays by 19 current and former company employees. Carter's book, "Microsoft in the Mirror: Nineteen Insiders Reflect on the Experience" (Pennington Books, $14.95), was published last month. "It's all hanging out in here," said Carter, who worked at Microsoft from 1983 to 1997, rising from administrative assistant to editing and product management. | ||
