McAfee Consumer Products, a division of Network Associates, Inc., today announced the launch of a new software line for the personal and home office computing market that includes one of the first all-in-one firewall and anti-virus packages, as well as full support for Windows XP. McAfee's award-winning security software has been streamlined to provide new features, an updated interface and new product packaging. Additionally, McAfee's new product line carries the coveted Designed for Windows XP logo, making it easy for customers to recognize products that are compatible with Microsoft Windows XP. The new software packages are optimized to better safeguard users who upgrade to Microsoft's latest platform. New products include McAfee Internet Security, a comprehensive security system including firewall, anti-virus and content-filtering protection, McAfee VirusScan with an integrated personal firewall, McAfee VirusScan Professional with advanced wireless scanning for Palm OS and synchronization scanning for other PDA platforms, McAfee Firewall with new intrusion detection capabilities, and McAfee QuickClean offering new Internet and email cleaning features.

McAfee's new line of consumer software products will be available through retailers nationwide beginning October 7, 2001. McAfee VirusScan 6.0 software is available for an estimated street price of $39.99 and McAfee VirusScan Professional 6.0 software for $49.99.
