Global Crossing to link Microsoft sites in Europe | |

Communications services company Global Crossing Ltd. said on Monday it would connect nine of Microsoft Corp.'s European hubs as part of a two-year, high-speed communication services contract. Hamilton, Bermuda-based Global Crossing, which last week posted a second-quarter loss and said it would cut 2,000 jobs, said the network would support Microsoft's corporate e-mail, internal Web sites, and streaming audio and video operations. The high-speed communications network will connect Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Les Ulis (France), London, Munich, Reading (UK), Stockholm and Zurich, as well as Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington, Global Crossing said. | ||
