Stewart has just posted his second preview in his series of four, in this article he previews Microsoft Codename "Whistler" Server and Advanced Server. Here is a snip: I guess the title of this article could be taken as a little misleading because Microsoft has not decided on a final name for the Server and Advanced Server flavors of their Next Generation OS. So, in the title I will elude to the XP branding, but the rest of the article I will reference “Whistler” as the Server’s actual name. If you read my Administrative article for XP Professional Edition, then you saw, from an Administrator’s viewpoint, that Windows XP has a lot to offer for a Network Admin, or a Help Desk Professional. This article will focus on the changes that Microsoft has made to Whistler that are rarely, if ever, seen. I am going to show you the new deployment and management improvements that Whistler will offer, as well as differences that exist now in comparison to Windows 2000. | ||
