Software giant Microsoft Corp. threw a lavish party with tables piled with sushi and other food, and bars stocked with top-shelf drinks. A band played jazz while a few Rollerbladers dressed in purple body suits, with Microsoft's version of butterfly wings fastened to their backs, zipped around. The three-hour-long celebratory event took place Thursday afternoon, Sept. 19, and was held on the partially finished fifth floor of an office building on Sunset Hills Road, between Reston Town Center and the toll road (Route 267). | ||
