Xbox now cheaper than PS2 in Europe | |

Microsoft responds to Sony Europe's PS2 price drop with an even bigger drop in the price of its Xbox console. Microsoft has today announced that its Xbox console -- which launched in Europe in March -- is, for the first time, going to cost less than Sony's PS2. The announcement, which will see Xbox consoles in Europe selling for approximately 249 euros or £159 in the UK, follows a similar announcement from Sony Europe that saw the price of a PS2 drop to around 259 euros or £169. This is the second price drop in under six months for Microsoft's console in Europe where it initially launched for approximately 470 euros or £299. | ||
