Microsoft is believed to have tentatively marked Friday March 15th as the date for Euro roll-out of its Xbox console. While the company remains tight-lipped about its plans for the console outside of the US, MCV understands that it is already discussing strategy with retailers. At the same time MCV believes that a pre-sell campaign for Xbox could begin on the European High Street as early as Christmas. Remember also that Microsoft's top executive for Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, Mauricio Santillan confirmed that the Xbox will be also available in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil around March 2002. Apparently, the Latin American and European Xbox launches will be around the same time, if not the exact date. | ||
