Slate names new publisher | |

Popular online magazine Slate.com, owned by Microsoft, said on Monday it promoted associate publisher Cyrus Krohn to the position of publisher. Krohn, a former producer of CNN's "Crossfire" and "Larry King Live" television programs, will succeed Scott Moore, who will become general manager of news and information for Microsoft's MSN Internet site. Krohn's appointment came nearly three months after the magazine, which focuses on politics and culture and has about 4 million readers each month, named Jacob Weisberg as its new editor. Before joining Slate, Krohn directed political advertising for the Microsoft Network. He also worked for Vice President Dan Quayle, handling administration and special projects from 1991 to 1992 | ||
