DirectX 9.0 Beta 1 has been released to testers. As of this moment only the SDK has been released. As the feature list is rather massive we won't post it here but get a seperate page up later. Here is the main blurb: The Microsoft® DirectX 9.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) contains the tools needed to build cutting-edge, media-rich, interactive applications. It includes the run-time, headers and libs, sample executables, sample source, documentation, DirectX utilities, and support for C++, C#, and Visual Basic® development. This SDK release also contains the DirectX 9.0 runtime release Requires Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP Does not support either Windows® 95 or Windows NT 4.0 Please view the DXReadme.txt for late breaking information DirectX for Visual Basic® is being limited to DX8 APIs. | ||
