Square No Plans For 360 Version of Final Fantasy 14 | |

Square Enix has been a strong supporter of the Xbox 360 since its launch in 2005 but the next iteration of Final Fantasy may be Windows only. During E3 Square Enix Vice President of software development Hiromichi Tanaka was quoted as saying “Currently there are no plans for a version [of FF 14] for the Xbox 360”. The last time Square Enix spoke publicly about FFXIV they were ‘working with Mircosoft’ on an agreement to bring the title to the 360. Square Enix’s last major releases for the Xbox 360 include Nier, Final Fantasy 13 and the recently published Supreme Commander 2. Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled to be released on PC and Playstation 3 in Fall 2010 and has an open beta expected to begin later this summer.
