Zumobi says Microsoft has agreed to distribute its new "zooming user interface and mobile widget platform" with Windows Mobile. Originally developed by Microsoft Research, Zumobi runs on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 smartphones, according to the company. Clarification from Zumobi: Zumobi is in fact, not so much of an “alternative mobile browser,” as it is a mobile widget platform. Zumobi and partners build Tiles that contain content from the Web surrounding specific partners (i.e. MTV Networks and Amazon Tiles) or certain interest topics (i.e. Sports Tiles), but is not an application that allows one to browse the Web like Mozilla. | ||
