Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation is the programming model, engine, and tools for quickly building workflow-enabled applications on Windows. It consists of a Microsoft WinFX namespace (System.Workflow), an in-process workflow engine, and designers for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

• The License Agreements in these pre-release versions of Windows Workflow Foundation Runtime Components Beta 2.2. and Visual Studio 2005 Extensions for Windows Workflow Foundation Beta 2.2 do not allow usage in a live operating environment.



• The Beta 2.2 version of Windows Workflow Foundation is compatible with 2007 Microsoft Office system (Beta 2). The Windows Workflow Foundation Runtime Components Beta 2.2 are required for Microsoft Windows SharePoint® Services (version 3) (Beta 2), Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007 (Beta 2), and Microsoft Office SharePoint® Designer 2007 (Beta 2).



• The Beta 2.2 version of Windows Workflow Foundation Runtime Components is NOT compatible with Office "12" (Beta 1 Technical Refresh).



• The Beta 2.2 version of Windows Workflow Foundation Runtime Components is NOT compatible with the WinFX Runtime Components - February CTP or prior CTPs.



• The Beta 2.2 version of Visual Studio 2005 Extensions for Windows Workflow Foundation is NOT compatible with the WinFX Runtime Components – February CTP or prior CTPs.
