THQ's New Legends offers a blend of old and new styles. For instance, it's based in China with its traditional architecture, classic weaponry and honor-filled motivations, but is set in the future, with flying combat vehicles and "hand cannon" guns. It offers a flying dragon, but tethers him to the ground with laser-like leashes. Even its game design is a mix, with some old-style hack-and-slash, run-and-jump platformer-type levels, but they're placed in a 3-D world with a deep storyline developed through elaborate cutscenes. | ||
