TiVo Sues SONICblue Over TV Recording Patent | |

TiVo Inc. on Wednesday said it filed a patent infringement suit against SONICblue Inc. , the latest salvo fired between the rival makers of television recording technology. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, San Jose, California-based TiVo said it filed a suit on January 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against SONICblue, alleging that SONICblue's ReplayTV recording technology infringed on TiVo's patent. TiVo requested the court halt SONICblue from further alleged infringement of the patent, and asked for damages. | ||
