Firmware version 1.42.3 is the first public release that supports Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). Many people requested this feature so they could send files and voice chat on MSN Messenger behind the router. Release notes:
Linksys strongly recommends that you use the default LAN IP address of 192.168.1.1. Some MSN Messenger users may experience difficulties using other LAN IP addresses, for instance 10.0.0.1. Firmware is available via the Linksys FTP site at ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/befsr-fw1423.zip. | ||
