AMA Chastises MSN for Advertising | |

The American Medical Association has chastised Microsoft's MSN Internet service for advertising alcohol-related gifts as back-to-school care packages for homesick college students. The Chicago-based AMA sent a letter Aug. 24 to MSN executives saying it seems ``extremely misguided'' to call a book of beer drinking games and a ``microbrew kit'' care packages because of the dangers associated with underage drinking. An MSN spokeswoman said the service was taking steps to quit offering the items. The letter from Dr. J. Edward Hill, the chairman-elect of the AMA's board of trustees, calls underage drinking a serious national problem. | ||
