Microsoft's Lindows Lawsuit Could Backfire | |

While Linux has made an incredible name for itself due to its stability, low cost and its open source nature, one of the primary reasons it hasn't yet dominated the desktop is because the majority of consumer-focused applications are written for only the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. If a unique application allowed Windows programs to run on Linux, it would seem that some consumers would make the transition away from Microsoft's OS. At least that is the hope of Michael Robertson, founder of MP3.com and creator of a new program called Lindows. Lindow is an operating system that is capable of such a feat. | ||
