recent survey by Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) found that the decision to run on Windows platforms is more a function of the availability of applications than security or cost considerations, reports say. According to Rackspace, 60 percent of its Windows users and 92 percent of its Linux users agreed that Windows is less secure. Meanwhile, 50 percent of Windows users found Windows to have a lower total cost of ownership and 77 percent of Linux users said Linux was cheaper. | ||
