Yahoo today unveiled a beta version of its desktop search application. The software is based on technology Yahoo licensed from X1 technologies and searches for virtually any content stored on a PC. The Desktop Search Beta supports more than 200 file types, according to Yahoo and - other than for examples Google's desktop search - displays search results already when the user types a search query. | ||
