"Marry Martha Stewart and a digital computer and what do you get? A kitchen that helps you prepare and cook full meals. "The kitchen is the area that emotionally resonates when people come into the [digital] home," says Pam Heath, the tour guide and lead program coordinator at Microsoft's Home of the Future in Redmond, Wash. The spacious kitchen does have that high-tech gleam, with stainless steel appliances, streamlined cupboards and sleek black countertops, you would expect. But what is conspicuously absent is the large amount of clutter you usually find in this hub of the home — schedules and photos on the fridge or on the walls." | ||
