Palm Goads Microsoft with BEA Web Services Deal | |

Palm is hoping to change the current perception that IT managers prefer the Pocket PC to run enterprise-level apps, while the Palm is better-suited for personal use. Indicating that the race to capture the enterprise space is far from over, Palm continues to challenge Microsoft, announcing an agreement with BEA Systems Systems to deliver Web services to its PDAs. Under terms of the pact, the Palm Solutions Group will develop tools and a device-side software collection to offer enterprise applications on Palm handhelds, while working with BEA to integrate this technology with BEA's WebLogic server and workshop products. | ||
