No word from Microsoft on how successful Windows Essential Business Server 2008 has been. The company was looking to win over more than 1 million mid-sized businesses with the offerings formerly codenamed Centro. Successful or not, Microsoft is ready to move ahead with Windows Essential Business Server, and is looking to start work on version 2. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Windows Essential Business Server 2010/2011, and leaning hard toward 2010 for the version number. There’s also another possibility involving the traditional server versioning label: R2. | ||
