Microsoft Corp is softening its position on rival web services authentication initiative the Liberty Alliance Project, after a top company executive predicted customers will demand that Liberty-developed protocols work with its Passport service. Recently appointed developer and platform evangelist Eric Rudder singled out the banks' Automated Teller Machine (ATM) network as an example of competing systems from rival services providers that have been forced into interoperability by customers. | ||
