As expected, Microsoft yesterday announced that it is renaming its .NET Enterprise Servers as the Windows Server System, in keep with previously announced plans to drop the .NET moniker from its product names. As with the name of its new office productivity suite, which has been renamed to Microsoft Office System, the name Windows Server System suggests a comprehensive, integrated and interoperable product line, Microsoft says, one that addresses the complexity enterprise operations. | ||
