Trusted Computing Group Will Aid Microsoft's Palladium | |

An industry consortium has been formed to take over the development of specifications for a security hardware subsystem that the group hopes will be pervasive. Microsoft Corp expects the group will develop specs compatible with the work carried out in its Palladium trusted computing project. Intel, AMD, Microsoft, IBM and HP founded the Trusted Computing Group, which announced its existence yesterday, to take over work started in 1999 by the Trusted Computing Platform Alliance. The TCG hopes the TCPA's approximately 200 members will now join the TCG. | ||
