DirectX 9.0 Beta 1 has been released to testers. As of this moment only the SDK has been released. As the feature list is rather massive we won't post it here but get a seperate page up later. Here is the main blurb: The Microsoft DirectX 9.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) contains the tools needed to build cutting-edge, media-rich, interactive applications. It includes the run-time, headers and libs, sample executables, sample source, documentation, DirectX utilities, and support for C++, C#, and Visual Basic development. This SDK release also contains the DirectX 9.0 runtime release Requires Microsoft Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP Does not support either Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 Please view the DXReadme.txt for late breaking information DirectX for Visual Basic is being limited to DX8 APIs. | ||
