Customers won't hold out for Hyper-V, Microsoft says | |

There is one theory that suggests customers will hold off their migrations to Windows Server 2008 until the Hyper-V virtualization role is in place later this year. Microsoft, naturally, has a different view of the server's early potential. Bill Laing, general manager in Microsoft's Windows Server division, said at the launch of Windows Server 2008, that the roles-based nature of the new operating system will let enterprises install the roles they need as they need them. | ||
