With its Exilim Casio has presented a camera in check card format. The "world novelty" of 88 x 55 x 11,3 millimeters fits in every shirt pocket and comes with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. The market share of 15 percent Casio lays claim to because of its sold number of pieces in the market for digital cameras the company wants to increase in the consumer segment with the Exilim. The camera in check card format offers for lifestyle customers a 1.6 inches colour LCD (354 x 240 pixels). With this kind of miniaturization Casio mainly realizes its core competence. So the manufacturer has integrated aspheric lenses and CCD in a module. CPU, ASIC, SDRAM, and Flash memory are also set on a multi-chip module. With that power could be saved, according Casio. The LCD is directly addressed and manages without an additional converter. This direct connection according to Casio is a world novelty especially developed for the Exilim camera and furthermore is space-saving as well. | ||
