Sales of DVD players totaled 16.7 million units in 2001, up from 9.7 million last year, putting the number of players in U.S. homes at just under 32 million, according to figures issued by Los Angeles-based DVD Entertainment Group, which is backed by Hollywood's major movie studios and home video companies. | ||
