The public availability of Avalon and Indigo Beta 1 RC marks the fifth external release of Avalon and is a further significant checkpoint on the road to completion. This release is the final preparatory step before Beta 1 itself, and code developed on this release will be compatible with Beta 1 itself. In this white paper, we review the background and context of Avalon, take a look at the major new features that are delivered in the Beta 1 timeframe, and highlight some of the most significant breaking changes that will affect applications ported forward from the March 2005 CTP (Community Technical Preview) release. | ||
