French Court Says Apple Need Not Share FairPlay | |

A French court has ruled that music retailer VirginMega cannot force Apple Latest News about Apple Computer to share its FairPlay technology. VirginMega, part of the British Virgin Group, currently uses Microsoft's Latest News about Microsoft digital rights management (DRM) technology. FairPlay is Apple's proprietary DRM, which allows users to download music from the iTunes online store. DRM systems use various means to protect intellectual property so that it can only be accessed by authorized users. | ||
