Over the last few years, games have increasingly been presented as cinematic features complete with flashy special effects, A-list actors and huge marketing budgets. Unfortunately, high production value doesn't always make for good gaming, and those prime time advertising costs are sure to pass straight to the gamer. And thankfully, that's where independently published titles such as "Carve" can make a welcome (and cost-effective) alternative to the gaming mainstream. Following in the wake of "Splashdown," the Xbox's most popular water-racer, "Carve" is infinitely more enjoyable when racing head-to-head than when playing the single-player circuit. | ||
