WinZip Computing has just released a new public beta 2 of their well known WinZip software. WinZip 8.1 Beta 2 natively supports Windows XP, and comes with several bug fixes and enhancements over the previous releases. WinZip 8.1 continues to improve integration with Windows Explorer via expanded, configurable Explorer context menu items--and you can now select multiple Zip files for extraction in a single operation from the Explorer window. For those who have problems with limited size of e-mail attachments, or who want to split up large downloadable Zip files, the new split Zip file feature allows you to split Zip files into multiple parts of a size that you specify. The new WinZip taskbar tray icon gives you instant access to recently opened Zip files and other WinZip features. | ||
