Microsoft Corp.'s 12th Annual Windows® Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) serves as the key knowledge and data transfer event for the Windows hardware engineer and driver developer communities, and delivers the platform vision, business value, tools and information those communities can use to develop innovative, high-quality Microsoft® Windows-based hardware solutions for compelling and richer end-user experiences. This year's show will focus on innovation and quality; keynote presentations will address the need to develop products designed to meet user needs by synchronizing hardware and software development cycles industrywide. Microsoft Chairman and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates will unveil a key example of synergistic innovation with the PC prototype code-named "Athens," co-developed by HP, in which the PC becomes the center for collaboration and communication, including advanced voice, video and text messaging, all in a consistent, streamlined design. | ||
