SQL Server 2005 Service Pack (SP) 2, which is designed to work on Windows Vista and Longhorn Server test builds, is expected to go live any day now.
On his "Semi-Useful BI Musings" blog, Russell Christopher said that the latest SQL Server version will be "most likely available" on Monday, February 19.
"Get ready to download, because SP 2 was declared 'ready to ship' last night," Christopher blogged on February 16. "The SQL team is hoping to have it ready for public download Monday-morning-ish (PST)."
