Microsoft Game Studios announced today that Project Gotham Racing® 2 for Xbox®
has gone gold and is scheduled to skid onto store shelves in North America on November
18 for an estimated retail price of $49.99 (U.S.). Not only are virtual drivers
tasked with placing first, they must also balance driving skills, style and daring
in order to win. Players will earn Kudos for pulling off moves like power slides
and 360s during the race, or will get rewarded for good technical driving skills
such as staying on the racing line, drafting and more, in six race modes. PGR™ 2
features eight player races, Scoreboard Challenges, the ability to download Live
Ghosts of the best performers and plenty of smack-talking excitement with the Xbox
Live™ communicator. Featuring jaw-dropping graphics, the hottest cars and intense
online multiplayer action via Xbox Live, PGR 2 is every racing fan’s dream.
Project Gotham Racing 2 is the follow-up to the smash hit Project Gotham Racing,
and offers circuit-based racing through highly detailed, photorealistic urban environments.
Racers can choose from more than 100 of the hottest cars while navigating their
way around 10 exciting cities, mastering corners, and accelerating through the straightaways
before moving to a different venue. Players also can race against up to seven friends
at once using System Link or match up against seven players online utilizing the
Xbox Live service. Project Gotham Racing 2 is being developed by Bizarre Creations.
