Storage player Addonics Technologies Wednesday said it has a pair of SCSI products, which can convert common devices and hard drives to high-speed SCSI devices.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company said its ATAPI to SCSI and IDE to SCSI converters attach to the back of a device. The add-on lets common ATAPI devices such as DVD-R/RW, CDRW, DVD, CD-ROM, ZIP or Magneto Optical (MO) drives into a SCSI device, without having to install separate drivers.
Both converters are compatible with DOS, Windows 95, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP, NT, Linux and Macintosh and support all SCSI standards up to LVD160 with selectable SCSI IDs from 0-15.
