Thanks Josh. Microsoft on Friday unveiled in India its "HailStorm" technology and said six major Indian software companies had developed applications for it, the first to do so in the Asia-Pacific region. HailStorm, part of the company's Microsoft.Net strategy to start selling software as a service delivered online, is effectively a personal information manager that helps make online transactions easier whether through a PC, a cell phone or another kind of handheld device. Using HailStorm, a person will be able to check flight schedules, book and pay for a ticket, have the cost automatically reflected in a personal budget program and have the trip dates added to a personal calendar. | ||
