Oracle and Microsoft are using their best bedside manner with the United Kingdom's National Health Service. While Oracle is dispensing a massive human-resources system, Microsoft has prescribed software subscriptions on the desktop. Oracle has announced it will be part of a $470 million contract to replace and consolidate the human resources systems of the NHS. The system is intended to free resources and allow NHS managers to analyze skills distribution and shortages better than before. | ||
