The publication of four new Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC) benchmarks from HP, NEC Corp. and Unisys demonstrates the power and performance customers can achieve by building solutions on the data management platform of Microsoft® SQL Server (TM) 2000 and Windows® .NET Server 2003. Leading business decision-makers rely on the information provided by independent, industry-standard organizations such as the TPC to compare platforms offered by competing software and hardware vendors. The TPC-C benchmark, which measures transaction processing and database performance in terms of the number of transactions a given system can perform per unit of time, is a vital proof point in the purchasing process.
