Ubi Soft To Acquire Eidos? | |

Could Ubi Soft be trying to takeover Eidos Interactive? According to Expatica they very well could be. According to the Monday edition of the Financial Times, their sister paper Les Echos quoted Ubi Soft’s executive chairman, Yves Guillemot, as saying Ubi Soft would grow as a result of acquisition. Specifically he said, "Within that framework, Eidos could be a target for us. Whatever happened I think that company will be bought in the course of the year." Of course, while this might not exactly seem like cause for alarm the company recently stated Eidos would be an interesting target but shares made it a bit too expensive, despite the higher value of Ubi Soft’s shares. However Alain Martinez, finance director at Ubi Soft, put somewhat of a damper on the information by stating the company will most likely be trying to acquire smaller U.S-based companies. | ||
