NEW YORK--The Judiciary Committee of the United States Senate plans to question state and federal antitrust officials on whether the proposed Microsoft antitrust settlement goes far enough in stifling the giant's illegal practices, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. The committee has tentatively decided on a December 12 hearing date and plans to request testimony from the Justice Department's antitrust chief, Charles James, state officials who are for and against the settlement and a top Microsoft lawyer or executive, aides said, according to the newspaper's online edition. | ||
