Intel's Value PC Processor Breaks Gigahertz Barrier | |

Intel Corporation today released three new Intel® Celeron™ processors. The desktop Intel Celeron at 1.10 GHz, 1 GHz and 950 MHz represent Intel's fastest offerings for the price sensitive desktop value PC market segment. Intel Celeron processors include design features, such as 128 KB of on-chip level-two cache with a high-bandwidth interface to the processor core. In 1,000-unit quantities, the desktop Intel Celeron processor at 1.10 GHz is priced at $103, the 1 GHz is priced at $89 and the 950 MHz is priced at $74. Desktop Intel Celeron processors are now available at 1.10 and 1 GHz, and 950, 900, 850 and 800 MHz (all with the 100 MHz system bus). | ||
