Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Should Start in 2010, Says Gartner | |

Microsoft’s Windows XP should be eliminated from businesses' PCs by the end of 2012, according to a new report from research firm Gartner, as both ISVs and application builders begin to cut off support for the operating system. At the same time, Gartner advises that businesses upgrading to Windows 7 begin planning and testing for the transition this year. Gartner's advice echoes a report from before the launch of Windows 7, which has sold more than 90 million licenses since its October 2009 debut. | ||
