For audiophiles, users contemplating building a Vista-powered home theather, and those just waiting for RC 1, there's an interesting thread on AVS Forum initiated by Amir Majidimehr, forum regular and CVP of the Consumer Media Technology Group at Microsoft. Amir dicusses some of the pro audio features Windows Vista's new user-mode audio stack provides. He also points out a nice online music store, MusicGiants, that offers downloads in WMA Lossless format, and is, according to their site, "the only High Definition download™ service licensed by the four major labels: EMI, Sony/BMG, Universal and Warner Music Group".
