New Features and Enhancements

For the ConferenceXP 3.0 release, we’re focused on improving the user experience, performance, and network reliability.

ConferenceXP 3.0 Beta

The ConferenceXP 3.0 Beta includes these new features and enhancements:

  • Reed-Solomon forward error correction (FEC)—Improved support for collaborative applications in wireless environments
  • XOR FEC—Reduced network bandwidth requirements for audio and video
  • Improved support for video capture devices, including the Osprey and Winnov Videum capture cards
  • New Microsoft Windows Media 9–style video windows
  • ConferenceXP Client application UI enhancements, including streamlined audio/video setup, venue management, and RTDocuments application selection
  • Improved performance counters and diagnostics
ConferenceXP 3.0 Release

For the ConferenceXP 3.0 Release, we’re planning on including these additional new features and enhancements:

  • NAQ (negative acknowledgement) retransmission support
  • Multicast reflector/unicast gateway
  • Multiple camera support
  • Windows Media 9 codecs support
  • ConferenceXP software development kit (SDK) with additional samples
