Iomega has just released to the world the latest 1.00424 firmware revision for its HipZip Digital Audio Player. Below are the enhancements brought by this new release that is simply a must have!

  • Playlist Manager update to allow you to highlight and play a song on the list.
  • Changes to the playlist order will remain even after the disk is ejected.
  • Bookmarking added for MP3 and WMA files, allowing you to return to where you left off.
  • Includes support for low bit rate WMA files (16 Kpbs).
  • Scan mode plays first 10 seconds of each song on playlist.
  • Player will return to last song played when turned on.
  • Elapsed time will be displayed in hours and minutes for long files.
  • Rewind change to skip to beginning of current track.
  • Battery icon will be displayed on all screens when the player is on.
  • Allows for menu wrapping.
  • Auto shutdown time change from 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
