“Project K-X” is a game based on a project organized by top Japanese creators whose intention was to assess the potential of Xbox leveraging techniques and methods of expression explored in the project, the game title “Kakuto-Chojin“ was conceived as the next evolutionary step. Directed by the fighting game specialist Seiichi Ishii, “Kakuto-Chojin” aims to set a new standard for fighting games. For example, if a player’s arm receives a blow, the muscles in the arm become injured and the player’s ability to attack is weakened.

Features:

  • Self shadow : shadows of the fighters’ bodies are projected on  themselves
  • Projection map: colors of lights, shadows of objects that lights go through
  • Motion blur: blur occurs depending on the speed of physical movements
  • New movements: Programmatically generates different movements such as crumbling, stumbling and falling when fighters receive different attacks.
  • New environmental expressions: heavy rains, wet floors, sunlight with lens flair
  • With these expressions rendered in real-time, “Kakuto-Chojin” will open up a new horizon for fighting games.
