[The] developer of Music 3, Jester Interactive, has teamed up with Perfecto Records providing potential access to a number of artists such as Paul Oakenfold and Timo Maas.

Both companies are working closely together on the game, which will hopefully include appearances and interviews from their roster of artists for PR.

Martin Kitney, PR and marketing manager at Jester said: "This partnership enables us to broaden this product both in market appeal and in it's quality. It also gives us the opportunity to work with some of the best artist in the music business which will give us fantastic PR and marketing opportunities".

Martin Bales, head of licensing with Perfecto added: "Music is not simply about selling records at retail, this is a rare opportunity for a games publisher and record label to work successfully together in order to provide games' users with a unique and fun tool and more importantly enhance the gaming experience with quality music and credible artists. Perhaps this software will provide the chance for the next Timo or Oakenfold to emerge…"

Perfecto Tracks already confirmed for Music 3 are Paul Oakenfold's Starry Eyed Surprise, and Ready Steady Go!, along with Timo Maas['] track, To Get Down. These tracks will come pre-loaded on Music 3 with user being able to remix and edit and produce videos to accompany them. Further licensed tracks are planned and information will be released shortly on them.

Music 3 will be released early next year on PlayStation2.
